It’s cup action this Sunday as Carlisle United Ladies welcome Ellesmere Port Town to Creighton.
After the defeat in the league away at Bolton Wanderers last Sunday, it is First Round Alliance & Design Plate action this weekend where the Ladies are hoping to recapture the feeling of going through in a cup competition after their success in the County Cup two weeks ago.
Ellesmere Port Town, who are currently in the North West Women’s Regional League Division One South, sit in 8th position. United are 12th place in the North section.
Ellesmere are in a mixed run of form recently having won three and lost three of their last six games in all competitions, losing 3-0 last time out versus FC St Helens Women in the Alliance & Design Print Cup (League Cup).
They did however win their last league fixture 4-2 against Litherland Remyca Women.
