Carlisle United's Academy goal of the month for September - [with the trophy sponsored by Carlisle United Supporters' Club London Branch] - was handed to winner Jay McNeil from our U13's this week.
Youth Development Phase Coach John Foley said: "In September a number of age groups travelled down to Liverpool to play friendly fixtures at their Academy training facility.
"The U13 game was a particularly competitive game, after a slow start. The London Branch voted on the contenders and decided to choose Jay McNeil's goal as the winner.
"Jay struck an unstoppable strike into the top corner after some great work from Jack Hodgson to dispossess the opposition. Well done Jay."
Dave Brown, chair of the London Branch, said: "We were unanimous in our selection of Jay's superb strike as academy goal of the month for September.
"It was a cracker of a goal and one to really saviour. Well done Jay."
