The thoughts of everyone at Carlisle United Football Club are with honorary president David Dent as we learn of the passing of his dear wife Audrey.
Chairman Andrew Jenkins said: “This is really sad news. David was just 23 when he came to the club and he was already married to Audrey at that time.
“I’ve known them both through all of those years, and she was beside him for every step as he worked at Coventry City and at the Football League.
“During their time at Brunton Park Audrey did a lot of work with Jim Monkhouse, helping out with various things, and she was really well respected, as was David.
“Out thoughts are with David, his family and loved ones at this time.”
