Carlisle United Football Club is delighted to announce locally renowned company World Group as our new C Stand sponsor for the 2023/24 season.
World Group have been major sponsors and partners with the Blues ever since founder Cliff Spooner teamed up with the club in the 1980’s, and their fantastic support saw their distinctive logo take pride of place on the back of the first-team shirts for the 16/17 and 17/18 campaigns.
The current World Group structure was introduced in 1998 to offer an increased range of property improvement and homecare products alongside the existing PVC Window World products.
In recent years over £1.5 million has been invested in automating, improving and moving the business to their current Carlisle head office at Kingdom House, Durranhill, with the last few years being a story of development and market growth for their extended range of property improvements and homecare solutions.
Commercial manager Debbie Huddart said: “World Group are huge United fans, they have been for many years, and we’re delighted that they’ve taken up this very visible and important sponsorship opportunity.
“They’ve been really easy to deal with, and we’re delighted that another strong local brand has strengthened their ties at such an important time for the club.
“The success of last season was hard-earned, and as a club we now want to help the manager and his players build on that.
“That’s why things like this matter, and we thank everyone at World Group for the part they’re playing in helping the feel-good factor push into our exciting new season in League One.”
World Group director Matthew Spooner said: “As soon as Debbie told us that C stand was available for sponsorship, I knew the answer.
“It’s been a great 18 months since Paul returned and he needs the support of the local community, including the business community, to make this club as successful as possible.
