Helping the local community

CUOSC and the club are holding a Foodbank collection before the home game with Colchester United on Saturday 18 February.

GREEN FOOTBALL WEEKEND: A huge success

13 February 2023

In conjunction with the club, CUOSC is striving to make things a little better for those less fortunate in our community.

Everything collected will be handed over to Carlisle Foodbank whose aim is to provide three days of emergency food for people in crisis, who have been identified and referred by agencies working in the community.

Previous collections have always been well supported and we are hoping this one will be no different.

Click HERE for more information on Carlisle Foodbank.

Donations can be made at the Study Centre and Brunton Park from 1pm until 2:30pm on the day of the game.

If you can’t make that, the club is also accepting donations until 5pm on Friday 17 February at the ticket office in the Pioneer East Stand.

The club has teamed up with Armstrong Watson on this initiative as they encourage their staff to take part.

Stephen McCullough, partner at Armstrong Watson, commented: “This is a fantastic initiative by CUOSC and Carlisle United and Armstrong Watson is very proud to be part of this in some small way.

“We understand that the community needs as much support as possible, so what better way than to play a part in supporting Carlisle United at the same time. We have promoted the initiative internally to colleagues, families and friends.”

Carol Wilson, from CUOSC, said: "We are always happy to help our community with a Foodbank collection, and we appreciate the support from the club and Armstrong Watson.”
