It was fantastic to see the Fan Zone sponsored for the first time this season for the weekend home game against Exeter City – and a massive thank you goes to Lookers for giving us their backing on the day.
With their branding and some of their vehicles on show they certainly added to the feel-good factor that is now part and parcel of the build-up in our vibrant Fan Zone area.
Commercial assistant Kerry Jardine said: “The sponsorship of the Fan Zone was something Lookers were very keen to do because it was a very visible way of not just doing something for the club but, more importantly in their opinion, for the fans.
“It looked fantastic with their vehicles and branding on show and it certainly got supporters talking about the way another local business was getting behind the Blues in such a positive way.
“Unfortunately the winds on the day meant the decision had to be taken not to use the inflatable penalty shootout stand, but everybody understood the reasoning behind that and the Fan Zone was still a great place to be.
“Thank you to Lookers for their sponsorship of the Fan Zone, it was greatly appreciated and well received by everybody.”
Sponsorship of the Fan Zone is on a game-by-game basis and provides an opportunity for businesses to showcase their support of the club in a very visible way, whilst also helping to provide a fantastic service for the fans.
The package includes areas within the Fan Zone to display company branding or equipment, coverage on official club channels leading up to match day, and social media posts on the day to highlight the partnership.
