United keeper Gabriel Breeze has today joined Northern Premier League Division One West side Widnes FC on a one-month loan.
Breeze, 19 in December, signed a two-year professional deal with the Blues whilst still just halfway through his scholarship programme.
He entered the academy system as a teenager and progressed quickly to earn his place in the first-team dressing room.
Manager Paul Simpson said: “We are really pleased with how Gabe is developing and this is now the next stage for him.
“It gives him a great opportunity to play in senior football where he will get tested in real match scenarios.”
Gabriel is available to play for Widnes against Newcastle Town tonight.
