MCMS: Launch event at Tullie House tonight

My Club, My Shirt exhibition launched at Tullie House Museum

31 January 2022

In early September, Carlisle United began a project to champion the diversity of our supporters as part of The Football Supporter’s Association and Kick It Out’s Fans For Diversity latest initiative ‘My Club, My Shirt’.

The initiative was to show supporters from a variety of backgrounds wearing their club colours and brings clubs, communities and fans together from all walks of life.

The club, along with members of the Carlisle United Supporters’ Groups (CUSG), were firmly behind the campaign as a perfect opportunity to celebrate the diversity of the CUFC supporter base, as well as a way of connecting with members of communities in and around Carlisle who would like to experience live league football. Fans were invited to take part and join in.

Tullie House

This evening in the Tullie House Museum garden space, an exhibition will be opened with several images on display. Fans who took part in the project and those who helped make it happen will attend.

Fans will be able to visit and see the MCMS exhibition at Tullie House over the next couple of months, alongside the permanent Carlisle United exhibit at the museum.

There will be a review of the opening of the exhibition event later this week on the website.

Return to Brunton Park

To wrap up the project all the images from MCMS will then be unveiled on permanent display in the East Stand concourse at Brunton Park. They will be joined by those from the exhibition when it ends.
