United were back to winning ways on Saturday morning with a brace from Sam Fishburn acting as the spark to a decent return.
"A goal from Sam took us into the break in the lead, and it's fair to say we just about deserved that," youth boss Mark Birch said. "Overall it was a scrappy game, but we found a way to win. That's always good to see.
"We created some good chances in the second half, Nic Bollado got both assists for the Fishburn goals, and it was capped off with an own goal at the end.
"It's one we can be pleased about but, like I say, the lads earned it and they can be happy with how they went about it."
