Chief executive Nigel Clibbens said: "We have been testing the new app at previous games with the catering panel and with other fans trying it out.

"Operationally, behind the scenes, we have been learning lessons by training staff, setting up collection points and online payment systems.

"The app has been live for the Horsham and Barrow home games, and as with all things like this there have been a few teething problems, but as staff and fans get into the swing of things we are confident it will make things easier on match days.

"It’s become routine for people to 'click' using phone apps to pre-buy all kinds of things, allowing us to then collect them at a time suited to us.

"Alongside cashless payment options, investment in staff, and basic things like better signage, the service is improving. With increased value for money and better quality products, we are also looking closely at the options on offer.

"We have been very up front about the challenges we face in bringing stadium catering in-house, but we are pleased with the progress so far.

"The work of John Watt & Co is invaluable, and with the feedback from fans, and support from the catering panel, we can see things are getting better.

"We encourage fans to download, register and enter their details before the game, so ordering is as easy as just being a few clicks away come match day."
