The Carlisle United Community Sports Trust (CUCST) two-year foundation degree is a distance learning degree delivered in partnership with the University of South Wales (USW) and the EFL Trust, with the lectures, seminars, and tutorials being supported by the CUCST in an inspirational environment club setting.
Students develop the necessary skills, qualities and characteristics that are required to work within a professional football club, sports sector, community departments and National governing bodies.
We have past students that are now working as PE teachers, football/sports coaches, and sports lecturers.
Alongside the academic element of the course, students will complete up to 200 hours of voluntary coaching within the community and alongside our Community Trust staff, allowing the students to embed and develop the coaching techniques and theory learnt within lectures to real life situations.
After the two years we offer a top up year for students to enhance their Foundation Degree to become a full BSC Honours Degree.

+ BSC Honours Degree (top up 3rd year)
+ FA Level 2

+ UEFA B licence (optional)
