Carlisle United's Academy goal of the month for October has been chosen – with the trophy [sponsored by Carlisle United Supporters' Club London Branch] handed to the worthy winner after the midweek training session.
Lead Youth Phase Development Coach John Foley said: “Thomas Bowness has been selected as the winner for October.
“He is a talented striker who has had a prolific scoring rate with the under-11s so far this season.
“As seen in the footage, he picks up the ball before rounding the goalkeeper, with skill and composure.”
“Well done to all of the players who were nominated,” he added. “And a thank you goes once again to the London Branch.
“Their sponsorship of this monthly competition has really got the lads talking and it’s massively appreciated.”
