The under-18 side's first home league game of the new season was against Fleetwood Town at Creighton on Saturday morning.
Another of the division's strong sides, the Cod Army are expected to do well again this term as they continue to expand their youth development network.
Youth boss Eric Kinder said: "This was a disappointing day for us. We showed our high standards last week but we got nowhere near this time round.
"It was scruffy and we didn't get our passing game going at all. We had two or three chances but we didn't look like taking them, so we made it hard for ourselves."
