94/95 - The month plans for a butterfly farm were revealed

The Blues march on through November

20 May 2020

In the month that Michael Knighton unveiled his plans for a Brunton Park leisure complex, to include the National Football Museum and a butterfly farm, the Blues made easy work of non-league Guiseley in the first round of the FA Cup at the same time as continuing their good work in the Auto Windscreens Shield.

The convincing league win over Rochdale at the start of the month extended their unbeaten run to six games, and the good results continued to flow, albeit with much tougher tests against Hereford and Doncaster.

The goals kept coming for striker David Reeves, and he was joined on his hot streak by Paul Conway, who had also discovered a canny knack of hitting the back of the net.

Carlisle were most definitely the team to beat, with some excellent individual performances complemented by solid and exciting team displays.
