Very noticeable since manager Chris Beech arrived at the club back in November last year has been the positive relationship he's developed with the supporters.
Speaking about that topic this wekk, he said: “The fans have been great since I arrived and I can only commend them for how they support us.
"This club is well supported and the heart is right in there. You can tell that with the season tickets and how many of them have chosen to donate the money to the club.
“They’ve shown a lot of interest in the new kit, which I think is really smart, and I’m wearing my new training kit for the first time today ... which I managed to fit into thankfully!
"I’ve been seeing little babies in the new kit on social media and things like that, which is fantastic.
“I hope we can share a bit more with them because that’s what football is about, we’ve got to do it together."
“We’ve got to unite the football club and we can only do that together," he concluded. "Everybody has their own opinion on what we should or shouldn’t be doing, but we’ve got to unite and do it together.
"I’m so excited for the new season - I think I need to go for a run after this to burn some of my energy off!”
