United's season in the sun - a very enjoyable 1974/75 campaign in Division One - has been well documented over the years, and rightly so, as the Cumbrians beat the odds to take their place amongst the giants of the game under manager Alan Ashman.
For today's walk down memory lane we've unearthed some rare footage of the team as an open top bus tour brought them to the Civic Centre in Carlisle as part of the celebrations of their achievement at the end of the 1973/74 season.
