The second day of the ERREA truck city centre kit launch was another busy one for the Blues Store staff as United fans popped along to secure their new strips ahead of the start of the 2019/20 season.
The home strip was most in demand today, but it was closely followed by the mint green away kit which, as on Saturday, was very popular with our junior supporters.
One such fan, Prodan Kurtis, was there bright and early on Sunday morning thanks to his grandad, Frank Hughes.
The pair are based in Cheshire but Prodan had seen the pictures of the kit and the ERREA truck on the internet on Saturday night, and he immediately asked if it would be possible to get one for himself.
Granda Frank, who gets to almost half of the games every season, despite living over 150 miles away, fuelled the car and delivered Prodan to the truck just minutes after it had opened for trading.
Assistant manager Gav Skelton said: "They told me the story about why they were there and I thought it was just fantastic that they'd seen the kit and decided to drive all the way up here to get it.
"It was made even better for them when we told the shop staff about the journey they'd made. Jenny and the girls gave Prodan a free football, which myself and Liam McCarron signed, as a thank you for the effort he'd put in to get there."
Commercial manager Jenny Anderson said: "It's been a fantastic few days. The ERREA truck has been a huge success with many fans surprised at just how big the interior was once they got inside.
"As we said yesterday, coming into the town centre to do the launch has proven to be a big hit. The response has been way beyond what we expected and we can't thank everyone enough for the positive feedback they've given us.
"The staff have worked hard, and it's been worth it, so it's now back to the Blues Store this week as we prepare the ERREA kits, training and leisure wear ranges for general sale."

2019/20 season ticket holders get a 10% discount. Please bring proof of purchase (a receipt) or ID, where your name will be checked against our database.
A full Blues Store loyalty card can be redeemed against all purchases over £5. Blues Store vouchers can also be used during the city centre launch event.
