WARWICK ROAD: Ongoing roadworks could cause delay

Club working closely with all parties ahead of this weekend

17 April 2019

Current roadworks on Warwick Road, adjacent to Greystone Road, are causing long delays for traffic heading into and out of the city.

Carlisle United have been liaising closely with the United Utilities Engineering Department and the local police to make traffic access to Brunton Park as easy as possible on match days, whilst acknowledging that the vital work has to continue.

We can confirm that the supporters’ car park will be open as normal on Friday, for the visit of Lincoln City, and Carlisle Rugby Club have also kindly offered their parking area for use by fans on Friday.

The police will be assisting with a traffic management plan to help with entry to and from the car parks [before kick off and after full time] and we have been advised that local disc zone areas are also available for car parking. Please consider residents if you choose to use this option.

Away coach parking will be on-site as usual, with United Utilities making adjustments to the coned areas on the main road to allow for the necessary turning and manoeuvring circles.

Parking for cars in our supporters’ car park, and in the Rugby Club car park, is priced at £3.

Please allow time on Friday to get to the stadium. Delays are expected on what is a busier than normal day, as vehicles use Warwick Road both for access to the game and to the city centre.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Please note – vehicles MUST be in the car park 30 minutes prior to kick off and must wait to depart 30 minutes after full time.
