A Max Cowburn free kick gave United a half time lead against Shrewsbury on Friday afternoon but the visitors scored a late penalty to claim a share of the spoils.
Blustery conditions at Creighton made it difficult for both teams but United dominated either side of the break before conceding the late penalty.
