Carlisle United can confirm that youth striker Max Brown has joined Evo Stik Premier Division play-off hopefuls Workington AFC on-loan until the end of the current season.
Brown, 19 this month, has scored twice in three games for the under-18 side, since his return to action from an ACL injury, and will be available for the weekend visit to Mickleover Sports for the west-Cumbrian outfit.
Academy boss Darren Edmondson said: “This will be a good move for Max. He’s a goal scorer, and he’s shown us that he hasn’t lost that since his return from a spell out through injury.
“We know he’ll get looked after by Workington and we’ll be able to keep an eye on him as he gets some good competitive game time.”
