The Blue Army has shown its generous side once again as United fans collectively raised £546.91 for the Samaritans [Carlisle] on Saturday.
Representatives of the group started collecting at 1.15pm and raised this superb amount in just over 90 minutes of collecting.
Louise Fawcett, from the Samaritans, said: “Five of us met beside the Hughie McIlmoyle statue on Saturday afternoon and we were delighted with the response as we walked round doing our bucket collection.
“We’d like to thank Katie Mitchell at Carlisle United for helping us to arrange the collection, and everyone connected to the club for their donations. It really does make a huge difference to so many people.”
