A full list of 2017/18 youth pre-season friendlies
United's U18 team will kick their pre-season schedule off with a double header against Gretna over the weekend of 8 & 9 July.
They will then travel to Fleetwood before facing home games against Newcastle, Derby and Blackburn.
The final fixture of pre-season will be a trip to Celtic, before the first league game on Saturday 5 August.
Academy manager Darren Edmondson said: "We've got a lot of good games against tough opposition to look forward to and it will definitely help get the lads in the right frame of mind as they look to kick on into the new season.
"As we spoke about earlier this week, we have eight new first year players who will realise very quickly that they have to integrate and settle into what is a very demanding routine, not just of games but also with a challenging daily training schedule.
"There are some very big clubs with established academy set-ups and this run of fixtures gives the lads something to look forward to."
