Carlisle United’s pre-season friendly fixture list is taking shape with another game added to kick things off on the second Saturday in July.
Local club Carlisle City will host the Blues on 8 July [kick off 3pm] at Gillford Park with manager Keith Curle looking forward to the opportunity to round off the first ten days of pre-season training with some valuable pitch time for his charges.
“We're delighted that Carlisle City have stepped up with a good, local fixture for us to kick our pre-season match package off.
"It will be the first chance for our new signings to show supporters what they are about, and for the squad as a whole to start the process of coming together and really shaking the cobwebs off.
"I'd like to thank everyone at Carlisle City for helping to bring this one together. It will be an extremely beneficial exercise for all concerned and the plan is that all of our players will feature at various stages and for varying lengths of playing time."
