LOAN: Defender extends Salford stay until end of season

Patrick Brough stays with Salford City until end of campaign

Defender Patrick Brough has today extended his stay with National League North side Salford City until the end of the current season.

Brough, 20, initially joined Salford at the beginning of November and has featured in all of their fixtures since his arrival at Moor Lane.

Manager Keith Curle said: “As we said when we extended this loan through January, Patrick is enjoying the fact that he’s getting regular, competitive pitch time. He’s enjoying his football and Salford are appreciative of his efforts and his contribution.

“This gives him the chance to get his teeth into his time down there and to develop himself as a player and as an individual. It’s a very productive arrangement for all concerned.”

The Silloth-born left back stepped up to the first team ranks at Brunton Park at the beginning of the 2013/14 season, as cover on the left flank, and has made a total of 49 appearances for the club so far.
