A Modern Approach to Goalkeeping ... with Tony Elliott.
United’s Academy keeper coach Tony Elliott will be at Waterstones in Carlisle from 10.30am next Saturday [23 December] to sign copies of his new book – A Modern Approach To Goalkeeping.
Speaking about the book this week, he said: “The title probably suggests that the content is just about the role of the modern goalkeeper, but that definitely isn’t the case.
“It’s been a pleasure to put it together and I think the content will be of interest not only to those who specialise in the Number 1 role, but also to those who have a wider interest in football, whether they are involved in the sport or not.
“Over the years I have had the honour of working across six different formats of the game, so I felt it was important for me to put those thoughts, findings and observations in writing so that others can tap into and learn from the experiences I’ve had.
“I think people will find it to be interesting and informative and I’m looking forward to meeting everyone to talk about it in Waterstones next Saturday.”
Included in the book are sections on the following subjects:

The book signing takes place at the Waterstones Carlisle store on Saturday 23 December, between 10.30am and 4pm.
