NCS Social Action Project a success
Last week our Autumn NCS cohort went along to Yewdale Community Centre as they helped to promote the work of the centre in the local area.The students researched the work of Yewdale Community Centre before creating flyers to be posted to make sure residents around the local area were aware of how they could get involved.
They then made new wall displays showing, the activities and events taking place in the Community Centre, before meeting the manager.
NCS Coordinator John Sander said: "A big part of the NCS scheme is to enable young people to interact with their local community.
"We hope the time we spent at Yewdale Community Centre was beneficial and has encouraged more local people to get involved."
