Delighted to announce DSD Construction as club main sponsor

Carlisle United Football Club are delighted to announce local firm DSD Construction as our official shirt sponsor for the 2016/17 season.

The Carlisle-based company’s instantly recognisable logo will appear in pride of place on all first team and replica shirts and training kit for the first time next season, due to be revealed ahead of the new campaign.

Chairman Andrew Jenkins said: “It’s fantastic for us that DSD have come on board in this manner because they have been long standing supporters and sponsors of the club in many different ways.

“We have often called on their expertise and they have never once let us down. Dennis Nugent made it clear to us that he would always help out in any way he could and it’s wonderful to see that Shaun is keen to continue that family tradition.”

DSD Construction is a family run company with over 30 years experience in road surfacing, planning and maintenance and have become a recognised company nationwide in their field.

Sales and Marketing Director Phil King said: “I am delighted that DSD Construction are supporting the Club in this way. We are very keen to have businesses across Cumbria involved with the Club, and for a Carlisle business to be on the front of Carlisle United shirts next season is fantastic and something I hope the fans can take pride in.

“Shaun has been supportive of the Club and I have had some very positive conversations with him across the course of last season. Having the DSD brand exposed nationally on this level will be a benefit for them also, and no doubt will have a positive effect on business.”

DSD Managing Director Shaun Nugent said: “Having been life long supporters of Carlisle United we feel very proud to be their main sponsor and offer something back to the local community. By becoming main sponsors we are hoping other local businesses will follow suit and help by investing in the club for many years to come.”

Former-United midfielder and BBC Radio Cumbria match summariser Chris Lumsdon, now Training Manager at DSD Construction, forms a further link between the organisations as they enter the first year of their new sponsorship deal.
