Local company World Group join as major sponsors
Carlisle United Football Club is delighted to welcome local company World Group as one of our major sponsors for the coming season as their distinctive logo takes pride of place above the new EFL League Two numbering and lettering on the back of the first team match day shirts.
World Group founder Cliff Spooner is a long-standing sponsor and supporter of the Blues, having first teamed up with the Club in the 1980’s, and the bond is set to strengthen this season as the Group takes up shirt sponsorship alongside Ground Board and Match Programme advertisement.
The current World Group structure was introduced in 1998 to offer an increased range of property improvement and homecare products alongside the existing PVC Window World products.
In recent years over £1.5 million has been invested in automating, improving and moving the business to their current Carlisle head office at Kingdom House, Durranhill, with the last few years being a story of development and market growth for their extended range of property improvements and homecare solutions.
Sales and Marketing Director Phil King said: “World Group are huge United fans and the talks we have had with them about a range of sponsorship and partnership opportunities have been extremely positive. They had a real desire to work with us from the outset and we can’t overstate how important relationships like this are to the football club.
“We’re delighted that another strong local brand will be taking such a prominent position on our first team playing kit and we’re looking forward to watching our partnership blossom through what we hope will be a successful campaign.”

Don't forget - this season's brand new home kit is available for collection from our Blues Store here on Warwick Road from 10am on Thursday morning [21 July]. The new home kit goes on general sale from 10am on Friday 22 July.
