United were knocked out of the Youth Alliance Cup on Tuesday as Preston North End just about edged a very tight game.Youth boss Alan Moore said: "Chances were created at both ends and it could have gone either way.
"The difference was that they scored from one and, on balance of play, they probably deserved to go through.
"The lads are disappointed but they played well and they have plenty to take from it."
