Danny Kearns moves on from Carlisle United
Midfielder Danny Kearns has left Carlisle United this morning having cancelled his contract by mutual consent with the club.
Kearns, 24, signed for United on a two-year deal in July 2014 and made a total of 12 appearances in his 13-month stay.
Manager Keith Curle said: “Danny is a great lad but he’s probably one of the players who hasn’t had as much opportunity to showcase himself as he would have wanted.
“He was really unlucky with injuries when I first got here but his attitude throughout has been excellent. We’ve reached a compromise agreement which means he can now move on and hopefully further his career.
“He wants to be playing football and his opportunities were limited here. I think this suits all parties and it goes without saying we wish him well as he moves on from Carlisle United.”
