Jabo Ibehre talks about his goal against Luton

We spoke to striker Jabo Ibehre about his goal in the stunning comeback against Luton Town on Tuesday night.

"We're all buzzing because we can't believe it," he admitted. "We were 3-1 down, with 20 minutes to go, but our character was amazing. We don't know when we're beaten these days. We just keep going to the end.

"We've done it so many times already this season. We go the distance and we don't give up. It's testament to the players and the manager - because of the players he's brought into the squad."

"We started the first half a bit slow," he agreed. "We gave them an opportunity and we did the same in the second half. Heads didn't drop, players were still coming and showing for the ball even at 3-1 down. It's just great character from everyone.

"When we scored the second goal we were all thinking we could get back and make it 3-3. When we got the winner it was an amazing feeling because everyone in that dressing room is top drawer. We've got a really nice bunch of lads and it was great to be part of it.

"When we got the second we weren't thinking it was a consolation goal. We knew we had the momentum and we knew we could go on and do something. The pace and energy we showed going forward in the last 15 minutes was fantastic."

And on his first goal to help to banish the demons of his injury, he said: "Getting my goal was a large step in the right direction for me. I was pleased to get the minutes on Saturday although I would have liked to have played a lot better.

"I'm getting the power and the minutes back in my legs. To come on and be a part of this again after being out for so long is great. Being out on the sidelines for is so frustrating. I'm just pleased to be back and I'm happy for everyone that we got the result on Tuesday."

"Obviously that takes me up to 11 and I just want to keep going," he said. "I need to get the energy and power back in my legs then I think this could be a really special season for me.

"Spirits have never really dropped here. We work hard every day in training and it's nice to get the nice rewards.

"We fought hard on Saturday to get the point and on Tuesday they pulled off another great comeback. Credit to everyone, it's just fantastic. Who knows where we can go from here but hopefully the only way is up!"
