CONTRACT: Midfielder leaves by mutual agreement

16 January 2015

Midfielder Alex Marrow moves on from United

Carlisle United can confirm that midfielder Alex Marrow has today terminated his contract with the club by mutual agreement.

Marrow, 24, teamed up with the United squad for pre-season training in July and quickly agreed a one-year deal.

He made five appearances for the Cumbrians during his half season stay with his last appearance coming in the away trip to Portsmouth at the beginning of November.

Marrow started his career in the youth ranks with Bolton and Blackburn and enjoyed fruitful loan spells with Oldham and Crystal Palace during his early years at Ewood Park.

His move to Palace was made permanent in 2011 and loan spells with Preston North End and Fleetwood followed before he returned to Blackburn Rovers in 2013. He enjoyed a second spell on loan with Fleetwood last season.
