FA CUP: United drawn at home to face Yeovil Town

7 December 2015

FA Cup third round draw news

Carlisle United have been drawn to face fellow League Two side Yeovil Town in the third round of this season's Emirates FA Cup competition.

The Cumbrians have successfully navigated two away fixtures, with victories at Plymouth Argyle and Welling United, and will now go toe-to-toe with the Glovers for the second time this season.

Manager Keith Curle said: "Yeovil are a side we know well having played them recently at Brunton Park.

"They gave us all a massive shock with the way they started that game and they made it difficult for us from the very first whistle.

"It'll be a completely different challenge for us in January, because they'll have a new manager, and I'm sure he'll have them playing in a way which will be all about getting results.

"We won't fear them but we'll definitely want to start better so that we don't give ourselves another mountain to climb. It's something we say over and over, but it's down to the planning and preparation we do for every game, and that won't change.

"We'll make sure we're in the right frame of mind and hopefully we'll give our fans more to smile about."

Tie to be played weekend of 8-11 January 2016. Full match details to follow.
