Injury update on striker Stephen Elliott
United physio Neil Dalton confirmed today that striker Stephen Elliott will undergo a surgical procedure this week following an injury picked during the second half of the 2-1 victory over Oxford United at the weekend.
“Stephen has ruptured his Achilles tendon,” Dolly explained. “He will now have surgery on Thursday evening with our surgeon and will obviously go into a rehabilitation process from there.”
Elliott, who joined United on a one-year deal in the summer, played 60 minutes of the game at the weekend and has one goal from his 18 appearances for the Blues.
