First year pro agrees new deal

Carlisle United Football Club are delighted to confirm that first year professional Patrick Brough has put pen to paper on a new deal which keeps him at Brunton Park until the summer of 2016.

Brough, who came through the United academy system, signed his first senior contract at the end of last season and has impressed the management team with how quickly he has settled with 14 starts to his name already from this campaign.

"Patrick is one of those we were talking about the other day when we said that our younger players love playing for this football club," manager Keith Curle said.

"He has shown us that he wants to be here with his attitude and application and we're really pleased to have this sorted out. He has a lot of good attributes and areas we think we can improve to make him an even bigger asset to this football club.

"He'll be pleased because he can now concentrate on the work he has to do, the areas he has to work on and the improvements he has to make knowing he's at a club which wants to look after him."
