Jordan Marshall makes LFE team of the month

United’s second year scholar Jordan Marshall received some good news from the League Football Education (LFE) this week when it was confirmed that he has made it into the LFE outstanding XI for the month of May.

‘The 11’ replaced the old Apprentice of the Month award at the start of this year and is given to scholars for academic and football excellence and progress throughout the judging period.

Academy manager Alan Moore said: “We’re pleased for Jordan and I’m sure he’ll be delighted to see his name included on the list for the month of May.

“This type of award shows we are developing well rounded individuals who strive to get results with their college work as well as the football aspects of their apprenticeship.”

‘The 11’ for May are:

+ George Maris (Barnsley)
+ Harrison McGahey (Blackpool)
+ Dominic Thomas (Bristol Rovers)
+ Jordan Marshall (Carlisle United)
+ Lewis Cook (Leeds United)
+ Dael Fry (Middlesbrough)
+ Keaton Wood (Millwall)
+ Connor Roberts (Northampton Town)
+ Ross Durrant (Nottingham Forest)
