United faced Blackburn in the latest youth friendly
United completed their build up to their season kick off with a closely fought contest against Blackburn on Tuesday afternoon.
Tom White scored both goals for the Cumbrians and they were denied twice by the woodwork as chances flowed at both ends.
"I was very pleased with a lot of the things we did," academy manager Alan Moore said. "We played some good football but, as you would expect, we still have areas we want to work on."

The U18 season kicks off on Saturday 2 August with a home game against Tranmere Rovers (kick off 11am).
