United confirm linked club partnerships

Following the success of last year's linked club partnerships we are delighted to announce the following clubs will be part of the programme for the forthcoming season.

We would like to welcome Cleator Moor Celtic, Carlisle City, Bransty Rangers and Cotehill Crusaders who will all be part of the linked club scheme.

Academy coach Ben Benson said: "Cleator Moor Celtic, Carlisle City and Cotehill Crusaders move into their second year with the scheme having benefited greatly from the partnership last season.

"We are now looking forward to working with Bransty Rangers and we trust they will find it to be an enjoyable partnership.

"Last year we held friendly games and coaching sessions for the clubs involved which all of the players and coaches really enjoyed.

"We also liaised closely on player recruitment which has enabled us to widen our search for players."

"We anticipate the scheme will keep growing," he said. "We have a lot of new ideas on the table as we continue to look for way to help the clubs involved.

"We value these links here at Brunton Park as we believe it to be beneficial for the long term growth and development of all parties involved.

"We're working tirelessly to improve our relationship at grassroots levels and this is hopefully another way of showing the teams how much we value the fantastic work which is being conducted at many of our local clubs."
