Red Devils forward signs up
Carlisle United have today signed Manchester United striker Sam Byrne on a half season loan deal which keeps him at Brunton Park until the end of the current campaign.
Dublin-born Byrne, 19, has represented the Republic of Ireland at all youth levels and joined the Red Devils in July 2011 having cut his teeth with local side St Josephs.
A regular with the reserve and development squads he bagged seven goals in 19 appearances last season and has been used as a main striker and in wide roles throughout the first half of this campaign.
