Centre back here for another month
Carlisle United have today extended the loan of QPR defender Max Ehmer for a third month which keeps him at Brunton Park until 28 January 2014.
German-born Ehmer, 21, initially joined United at the beginning of November and has made 11 appearances for the Blues so far.
He made his debut in the 2-2 home draw against Wolves and was voted as man of the match in the 2-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra in November.
The impressive centre half has been granted permission to feature in the FA Cup third round away tie at Sunderland on Sunday.
"Max has been fantastic for us since he joined us in November," manager Graham Kavanagh said. "We're delighted that we'll have him here for another month and we'd like to thank QPR for the way they have handled his loan spell with us."
Ehmer has spent time on loan at Yeovil, Preston and Stevenage over the course of the last two seasons and has extensive Football League experience under his belt with a combined tally of 71 appearances for all three clubs.
He signed a contract extension at Loftus Road in August 2012 having joined the club as a schoolboy at the age of 11. He has also represented South West Germany at Under-18 level.
