January date for the Bantams
Following discussions between Carlisle United and Bradford City this morning we can confirm that our home fixture date has been brought forward and will now be played on Saturday 25 January, kick off 3pm.
The Bantams were due to play Port Vale that weekend but the Valiants will now be in FA Cup fourth round action following their success in the third round replay at Plymouth last night leaving United and Bradford with a free weekend.
"We were originally due to play Bradford at the beginning of this month but the FA Cup has had quite an impact on this fixture in one way or another," media officer Andy Hall said. "The clubs discussed the options available following last night's result and we feel that this is a suitable outcome for all concerned. Hopefully it will allow more fans from both clubs to be able to get to the fixture."
