Congratulations to the winners
On the Friday 1 April Carlisle United’s Sunset Suite staged the first Cumbrians Elite quiz night. We hope this will be the first of many such nights held down at Brunton Park.
Eleven teams competed for the engraved CUFC Quiz trophy (which will be kept on display in the clubs reception area).
As with most quiz nights, there were some intelligent and well read teams fighting for the top prize...and there were others who just had a very good night!
The winning team, Del Boy and the Monkeys, can be seen showing off their prize after defeating their nearest rivals by just two points.
We would like to thank Northern Vacuums for their continued support and the following local supporters and businesses who donated prizes for the raffle on the night; Chris Green, CumbriansNet, Magnet, Andersons, A-Z Vehicle Dismantlers, Bookends Bookshop, Cumberland Newspapers and of course Carlisle United themselves.
I would like to give a big thank you to Paul James for agreeing to write and host the quiz.
We hope to host the next quiz night around Christmas time and it would be great if we could make this a regular and successful addition to the club calendar.
