Mark Lakin - a great supporter
As you can see from the picture which accompanies this article, the CUFC Ladies team took time out before their recent game against Accrington Stanley to pay tribute to local footballer Mark Lakin.Lakey and the players from the Beehive football team were great supporters of the Ladies team when they first started up, often giving up some of their own time to lend a hand.
"Lakey and the boys would turn up an hour before their own training session every week to help us out as we were sometimes short of numbers," manager Tracy Gannon said.
"He was a big character and some of the girls know only too well what it is like to lose a friend and fellow team member too soon.
"Our thoughts are with he family, friends and team mates at this time."
