CONTRACTS: Defender loan spell to end

Youngster returns to Charlton

Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that defender Kevin Feely will return to Charlton Athletic when his loan spell at Brunton Park comes to an end on Wednesday (4 September).

Feely, 20, joined the Cumbrians at the beginning of August and made his debut for the Blues when he came off the bench to replace Josh Gillies at Valley Parade.

He made his full debut for the club the following weekend in the home defeat to Coventry City and played the full 90 minutes in a 4-1 reserve win over Partick Thistle.

"Kevin is a great lad who put a lot of work in to everything he did from the moment he got here," manager Greg Abbott said. "It's been a tough month for us but he has shown a fantastic attitude throughout.

"We've brought Troy Archibald-Henville in this weekend and centre back is now a position we feel we have plenty of cover for. Kevin leaves here with our very best wishes."
