Morecambe incident highlighted
Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that we have today received a letter from the FA which makes reference to a 'crowd incident' following the penalty shoot-out victory over Morecambe at the Globe Arena on Tuesday 8 October 2013.A small number of Carlisle United fans entered the field of play on completion of the penalty shoot-out and the club is duty bound to remind our supporters that it is an offence to enter the field of play at any time before, during or after a game.
The club could face disciplinary action from the FA following such incidents and we reiterate that fans must not enter the pitch, home or away, for any reason. Action will be taken against anyone found to be in breach of this regulation.
