Gillette puts money where its MO is by pledging to donate to Movember on behalf of Mo Bro Footballers
Today Movember’s Major Partner Gillette announced that for every goal scored by footballers growing moustaches for Movember, throughout the month, they will donate £100 to the charity, on their behalf.
This latest tactic to reward footballers who are looking more “Lynam” than “Lineker” marks the launch of Gillette’s Movember campaign which aims to turn sportsmen into gentlemen to raise awareness for men’s health issues.
The brand is putting its money where its Mo is by pledging to donate for every goal scored across all Leagues including the Barclays Premier League, The Sky Bet Championship, League 1 & League 2 and The Conference Premier.
And for all those growing Crossbar style Mos in goal, never fear! For every clean sheet Gillette will donate too! And our research tells us that there could be 718 goals scored throughout the English Leagues and the Conference Premier in November so that is some serious Mo money to be made.
Hywel Mills from Movember UK said: “We’ve always had fantastic support from the footballing community and seen some great Mo’s around the clubs, in the stands and on the pitch over the years. We are excited that Gillette’s generous donation offer this year will reward the player’s sporting performance as well as their Mo’s to help us raise even more for men’s health”

United midfielder Liam Noble will be tracked by Gillette MO Goals this November with £100 donated every time he finds the back of the net and the good news is that his goal against Wolves has already notched his first charity payment.
"It's absolutely fantastic to hear that my goal has earned some money for this fantastic cause," Noble said. "My moustache isn't the best just yet but it's coming along. Hopefully I'll be in the side and scoring again this weekend. I'd like to thank Gillette for doing this and for donating that money on my behalf."
