More from the Cumbrians Elite team
Summer is here! Well, at least in terms of the football season and with no World Cup or European Championship to give us our football fix, we can enjoy the peace, tranquillity and cricket until it all starts again in late July.
Over the summer months, we are still looking for new ways to help our fellow fans and improve the Cumbrians Elite website.
We intend to promote any social events around the county on our community tab and if you know of any such events that could do with any extra publicity, feel free to send us an email and tell us what is going on in your area.
Carlisle Blues Futsal
The Cumbrians Elite team have also decided to sponsor our local Carlisle Blues Futsal team and we hope our link can help bring them some luck. Over the next few days we will be adding some player profiles to the site so you can get to know the players as well as the league table and up and coming fixtures.
If you play any team games (regardless of the sport) and you would like us to promote your league just send us the details and we will be delighted to help.
Building trust
Following the Fans Forums at the end of the season, we have been in contact with the United Trust with a view to helping the club progress on and off the field as we move towards next season. We hope to offer free membership to any United Trust / London Branch members and use our new website to promote the good work done by our supporters groups.
Next season
Now that we have an active and growing membership, we want to do more for our members. From next season, we hope to:
+ Find discounted hotels and entertainment for the travelling fans.
+ Host social nights at the club to help generate extra money for the club.
+ Link up with local shops and businesses to give you discounts and deals around the town.
We really want to get people more involved with the club and we welcome any suggestions and ideas. With your help, we can help bring the buzz back.
