United defender Danny Livesey is calling for your support this weekend as he holds a Family Sunday Fun Day raffle, with a signed shirt and a signed match ball up for grabs, in aid of a fantastic cause.
"We're going to raffle a signed ball and one of my match-replica shirts from last season for a lovely little lad called Lewis Wynn," Livesey explained. "He's only 17-months old and he's recently been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
"The pram he has at the moment doesn't really support him properly and it makes it difficult for the family to go out places, and things like that, so we're trying to help him out by buying him a new wheelchair.
"They are quite expensive though - we need to raise £5,000 - and that's why we had the idea for this raffle."
"We're going to have tickets for the ball and shirt on sale for £1 on the competition table at the Fun Day on Sunday," he continued. "We'll do the draw for the winners at about 2.30pm and they'll be able to take their prize away there and then.
"All money raised will go towards the wheelchair so, if fans want to make a donation over and above the purchase of the raffle ticket, it will be gratefully received."
"It really is something we feel passionate about helping with," he said. "Donna and myself have known his parents for quite a while now and Lewis is one of the happiest little boys you'll ever meet.
"It would mean a lot to play a little part in giving him the best start in life possible."
