Saturday fixture postponed
United's home youth game against Shrewsbury Town scheduled for a 12pm kick off on Saturday 26 January has been postponed due to the continuing bad weather.
"It's the second week in a row that we've lost this one so we're all very disappointed," Eric Kinder explained.
"We've had some bad weather though and the pitch just isn't getting time to recover.
"As with last week, we've taken the decision to make the call early because things aren't going to improve enough to allow us to get the game on. It's a shame because it's a Youth Alliance Cup game and it's one we've been looking forward to for a while now.
"There's nothing we can do about it though, so we'll regroup and start to get ourselves ready for the home game against Rochdale next Saturday."
We'll have details of the rearranged fixture date as soon as they are confirmed.
