Centre half joins the Blues
Central defender Sean O'Hanlon has signed a deal today which keeps him at Brunton Park until the end of the season.O'Hanlon, 30, teamed up with the squad for an extended trial period just before Christmas and has done enough to secure a half-season contract with the Blues.
The tall central defender featured in a 2-1 friendly win against a strong Rangers side on Tuesday and has impressed the management team during his spell with the club.
"We invited Sean along just before Christmas and he has enjoyed himself with us," manager Greg Abbott said.
"He knows some of the lads anyway and he has fitted in well. We've seen a lot of him and we're delighted that we've been able to bring him in.
"He's a big, strong player who has a lot of experience and games under his belt. We're really looking forward to working with him."
O'Hanlon started his career as a youngster at Everton but made a permanent switch to Swindon, following a successful loan spell, when he was released by the Toffees in 2004. He played over 100 games at the County Ground before making the short trip across country to join MK Dons in 2006.
A move to Hibernian followed five good years with the Dons and he teamed up with United in December having been made a free agent by the Edinburgh based outfit.
O'Hanlon will wear squad number 23.
